Challenge #288-#289 - Anything Goes

Welcome by, everyone!  We're so happy you've stopped by to play along with us.  We have a lot of fun prepared for you with THREE lucky winners, our FABULOUS sponsor Simon Says Stamp, a free digital scripture file, a brief devotional, lots of great inspiration, and a Design Team that looks forward to visiting your blogs to say hello.

We have a beautiful scripture for our word art from Jeremiah 31:3 that tells us "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, "yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn thee".  The term "appeared of old unto me" isn't necessarily talking about time (of old), but rather, is referring to distance.  You see, it simply doesn't matter where we are physically....like Jonah in the belly of a great fish, or like those lost in the wilderness, or a prisoner of war in an unknown place....NOTHING can separate us from the love and comfort of God.  He always knows where we are, He hears our cries, and no matter how far away one might be (or feel), He always hears our cries and draws near to comfort us with His lovingkindness.  What a joy to know that no distance, no amount of miles or time, no person, NOTHING can separate us from His great love.  This world can be difficult, but in the end...ALL that matters is our relationship with Him.  What a blessing, comfort, privilege and joy it is to be "drawn to Him" and to receive His unspeakable gifts of comfort, rest, peace, and eternal life with Him in paradise.  Have you called on Him yet?  Eternity is real, and we WILL spend it somewhere.

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Challenge #286-287 - Anything Goes

Welcome back by the Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog.  We are so glad you've chosen to stop by to join us.  We have THREE awesome sponsors for this challenge, one very lucky winner from our last challenge, a lovely new piece of free word art (Matthew 5:6) for you to save and use if/as desired, our Top 3 Honors, and just SO much fun planned for you all.  So, let's just get started with this fun new challenge, shall we?

As we think about the scripture from our new word art (Matthew 5:6), we are reminded that our Lord, Jesus Christ; God in human flesh came to earth and dwelt among us as a man, and He experienced physical human needs, such as his need for water (most especially following His time in the wilderness).  But God reminds us here that even greater than our physical need to quench human thirst, there should be inside of each saved person an even stronger desire (a deeper thirst) for the love, knowledge, fellowship and eternal surety found only in Him.  Even Jesus Himself recognized this much deeper spiritual need that should lie in each of our hearts; most especially as we reflect on the fact that this world (earth) is not our home.  Earth (the lives we live here) is only a temporary resting place on our way to an eternal destination (either with Him in Heaven, or separated from Him forever in a literal Hell) for each of us dependent upon our relationship with Him.  Please ponder this truth: Eternity is a very long time to be wrong, or to be stubborn about.  It's not just "a myth" or even a mystery for that matter.  It's a simple choice.  Eternity (forever and ever) rejoicing in Heaven with Him, or eternity separated from him forever in Hell (burning, falling, gnashing of teeth, pain and misery with no end).  Contrary to what Hollywood and others would like us to believe, there simply aren't "many roads that lead to the same place", my dear friends.  Make no mistake that God's Word is real, it is true, and it is the final authority (He is the final authority).  We know that EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue WILL confess that Jesus Christ is God and LORD.  Have you been thirsting for God lately?

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. Challenge #284-285 - Anything Goes

Welcome back, everyone!  And if you're new to Word Art Wednesday, welcome to you as well.  We're so glad you've stopped by to play along with us.  We have our fabulous primary sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, with us for this challenge.  There's also a brief devotional, a beautiful piece of word art, and lots of fun planned for everyone; so...let's get started.

Psalm 42:1 says, "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God".  The word (hart) is not misspelled.  It's from the (KJV) King James Version, and actually is spelled correctly.  The word "hart" refers here to an adult male deer (and is translated so in most other versions of the Bible).  This verse is painting a picture of these animals vigorously thirsting for water; and finally being quenched when they find the water brook.  The picture continues to compare how, in much the same manner, our own hearts and souls (as humans) thirst for God.  When we're really physically thirsty, it's almost like we can't get enough water sometimes.  We just keep drinking and drinking.  God's Word, His comfort and love through the Holy Spirit, and His eternal promises are much the same.  Once we know Him and love Him, we simply can't get enough of Him.  Our souls will long for Him and we will want to "drink" from water (God) that can eternally quench, just as the deer longs for its needed water.  The beautiful thing is that we can sit and "drink" all day and all night.  We can fill ourselves with His knowledge, His goodness and His love, and find exactly what our souls need most...ALL in Jesus!

Challenge #282-283 - Anything Goes

It's time for a brand new challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, and we're so glad you've joined us.  We have THREE amazing sponsors....we have one prize that can be for any winner (US, UK, other) from our friends at Stix2Anything in the UK, one for our players here in the Continental US and Canada from The Kraft Outlet, and another prize for those playing along everywhere and anywhere in the world from Bugaboo Stamps.

Our word art file for this challenge is from the scripture Genesis 28:15 which says, "And behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of".  Wow, that's a long verse; but God is simply telling us that He is the true God who is with us always and keeps us safe no matter where we go, and no matter what happens.   Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Son, and God the Father we receive all of Him...the best of which will be when we see Him in heaven one happy day.  What a blessing to hear God tell us the words "I am with thee".  There's no other religion on the face of this earth that worships any god, any one or any thing tha

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week.
